Moe Sat Wine Crowned as Miss Universe Myanmar

After a hiatus of half a century, Myanmar sends the first contestant to the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Moscow on Nov. 9. It's a sign that Myanmar, isolated country in Southeast Asia is undergoing dramatic changes.

An initial local beauty pageant Miss Myanmar Universe on Thursday was launched at National Theater in Yangon to select a contestant for the annual Miss Universe beauty contest to be held in Moscow of Russia.

Moe Set Wine (25) who studies in the United States, was selected among 20 Miss Universe contestants as Myanmar, and will represent her country at the 62nd Miss Universe pageant in Moscow.
